Talk to me (2019~)

As we live, we may have stories we cannot tell. Perhaps for shame. Perhaps for having lost the moment to speak. The reasons are unique to each individual. Yet, these latent reasons somehow seem to shape a person.

Talk to me is a work that brings out stories that were never told. I ask people “Can you tell me a story that you’ve never shared before?” The interviewees are people who speak in languages that I don’t understand. This unique circumstance acts as a catalyst for utmost freedom. While interviewees narrate or write down their stories, I photograph their facial gestures in their most frank and candid expression. The written confessions are archived anonymously in a collective journal.
